Umeed-Hope Inc. is a coalition of marginalized communities committed to dismantling systems of oppression and fostering a world grounded in justice, collective care, and liberation. Founded in 2022, we initially operated as a nonprofit organization, but in 2024, we transformed into a mutual aid group to more effectively address the interconnected issues affecting our communities. Our mission is rooted in the belief that true change comes from collective action and solidarity among those most impacted by systemic injustices.
At Umeed-Hope, we understand that issues like gender-based violence, mental health disparities, anti-war efforts, and other forms of systemic oppression do not exist in isolation. These challenges are interconnected, affecting individuals and communities in profound ways.
